Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are competing with league rivals Manchester City to land Napoli ace Jorginho.
The 26-year-old midfielder, who is worth about £60 million, is one of the Continent’s most in-demand midfielders after his impressive campaign in Serie A.
Midfield maestro Jorginho is one of Guardiola’s top transfer targets for the summer window and Manchester City are thought to be sure of winning the transfer race for the Italy international midfielder.
But the midfielder’s agent has confirmed that Manchester City face stiff competition from three other English Premier League clubs, even though the Gunners have yet to appoint a successor for Arsene Wenger, while the future of Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain.
Joao Santos informed Italian station Radio CRC he is in the South American country of Brazil, claiming nobody called him from Naples, but English sides have called him, recently crowned league champions Manchester City, Liverpool but also Arsenal and 2017 Premier League champions Chelsea.
He said it depends on Italian Serie A side Napoli and the Club’s sports director Giuntoli. He reiterated that it is not tought to find agreements with football clubs like these.
Santos said he doesn’t know if the possible exit of Italian tactician Maurizio Sarri would speed up the summer transfer of midfield maestro Jorginho, for Serie A side Napoli it will be very positive to capitalise on the bids then they will negotiate. He said he doesn’t know if the future of the Brazil-born Italian depends on the future of Sarri.
